The Great Darke County Fair is happy to announce that they were selected by the United States Trotting Association as the 2018 Blue Ribbon Fair.Representatives from the USTA will be at the fair this year to make the presentation. The award will be presented during the last evening of races which features the Gene Riegle Memorial and the Arnie Almahurst Trot. This event takes place on August 23rd with racing starting at 5:30.
As in years past the first 1,000 people to purchase a program will receive a Riegle commemorative glass. Along with the glass we will be presenting a souvenir blue ribbon to fans in the stands. Each winning horse will also receive a rosette ribbon to mark the occasion.
The Darke County Fair has been featured in the August edition of Hoof Beats magazine. A video show casing what makes our fair so great will also be published on youtube.
We’d like to thank the Darke Co. Fairboard for their support and all the members of the Darke Co. Harness Horsemen who work hard each year to make our fair so special. We’d also like thank all our fans who helped us earn this prestigious award.

- Saturday Evening August 18th – post time 6:30 PM
- Wednesday August 22nd – post time 7:30 PM
