Versailles Health Care Center Welcomes Hardwick

We would like to welcome Stephanie Hardwick to Versailles Health Care Center. Stephanie is from Union City and has two boys named Mason and Colton. She has been in long term care for 25 years. She started out in the laundry department, and then went on to become a nursing assistant and treatment aide. Soon Stephanie felt the urge to do more and decided to take classes and become an LPN. She enjoyed helping others so much that she decided to go further and became a Registered Nurse.

She has been in nursing management for 18 years. She began as an MDS Nurse, became a Nurse Navigator, then an Assistant Director of Nursing, (ADON); and then a Director of Nursing, (DON). She attained specialized credentials as a Wound Care Certified Nurse.

Stephanie says that she got into the LTC field because of her grandfather. He was in a facility and while she was visiting, she could see how much enjoyment the staff got from providing resident care. “I have had no desire to work in any other nursing field than geriatrics, Stephanie states. I received my LPN certificate from IVY Tech, RN degree from Fortis College and wound certification through the Wound Care Education Institute.
