“On the Trail: Water Filtration” with Darke County Parks

Water. It is crucial to our survival and when we are hiking, whether Darke County Parks, or Glacier National Park, we should always carry our water bottles. But what if you are on a long hike and need to refill along the trail?

Join a naturalist on Saturday, October 27 at 1pm at the new Bish Discovery Center (404 N. Ohio Street, Greenville) to learn the tools and techniques to filter your water on the trail. This informative, hands-on class will allow you a chance to get familiar with common methods and feel confident that when you are on the trail, you will have access to potable water. This class may require some short-distance walking and kneeling may be encouraged.

Registration is required for this free event. For questions about this or any other park district programs or to register for the class, please call 548-0165.
