Greenville Police Identify Suspect in Central Avenue Shooting

On March 21, 2019, at around 7:05 p.m., Greenville Police Officers and rescue personnel were dispatched to the 400 block of Central Avenue in reference to a male with a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, the victim, a twinty-five year old male from Richmond, Indiana, was located and subsequently flown to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight for his injuries.

Through investigation, it was discovered that David A. Green, 50, of Greenville, Ohio fired one round from a shotgun inside a residence in the 400 block of Central Avenue which struck the victim. Green then fled the scene. A warrant to arrest David A. Green has been obtained through the Darke Count Common Pleas court for felonious assault.

Anyone with information regarding David Green's location is asked to contact law enforcement immediately. Green is considered armed and dangerous.
