Accident just outside Arcanum

Witnesses are reporting a one-vehicle accident on Arcanum-Ithaca Road, about a half mile outside of Arcanum. The driver hit a utility pole, knocking the power out for nearby residents.

There is no information on the condition of the driver, who was taken away by ambulance. More details as they develop. Posted 9:12 p.m.

More info from a reader: Arcanum Ithaca & Dull Rd; 1 vehicle into an electric pull with live wires down. There were NO injuries and no one was transported. Arcanum Fire Department & Darke County Sheriff’s Office responded.

    On Main street, we didn't lose power, but it knocked out our cable. Since we have the bundle package, we lost our internet and phone, too. For about two hours or so.
