Darke County Photo Club Show A Success!

The Darke County Photo Club held its second annual “A Moment of Time” photo show this past week. A DCPC member, Mel Cabeen, from Laura, stole the show with his clown picture. Mel won a 1st place in the “People” category, along with three sponsor ribbons and the Ron Swank People’s Choice award. He also won a sponsor ribbon with his digital art entry. There were also two other triple sponsor rosette winners, Tonia Oda and Tim Harshman. Best of Show, selected by judge Greg Metzcar, was DCPC member, Jeannie Grosch’s “Poseidon’s Temple”, taken in Greece. The club had a total of 38 exhibitors and 165 photos on display.

The club would also like to express its gratitude to Mr. Ted Abney for allowing us to hold our show in his store at 503 S. Broadway. It turned out to be an excellent facility, as well as a great location for the show, especially the night of the Rollin’ 50’s Car Show.

Best in Show (Jeannie Grosch):

Here are the winners. To see the names of the winners and sponsors, either: 1) expand the slideshow below and click "show info," or 2) go here ... and click "slideshow" (the slideshow embedded below is too small to show the captions).
