  1. of course he was killed some where else.If it wasnt for the public getting involved they would never solve a murder.

  2. It has been said for a long time that if you want to get by with murder, do it in darke county. Some that I can remember is a Brinkman girl at the drive in theater ticket booth. A Bowers girl somewhere around Beamsville. A man by the name of Young and his lady friend in Greenville. One that recently was in the news about finding out who she was through DNA that was found around Arcanum. This is to name just a few that came to mind.

  3. To dukeblackohio, You should run for mayor, or county commissioner, or governor, why stop there why not president. All you do is cry about Greenville city and Darke county police. I am not involved in either, but i can tell you. You are full of sh** about the public getting involved for them to solve anything. Whats your deal? Been in trouble with either one of them before?

  4. In all fairness, they are asking for the publics help. Thats always a given in a homocide case. Anywhere. Just part of thier investigating. Why do you think we have "crimestoppers". They know what they are doing and if it takes someone who knows something to make a case about someone, they should certainly be asking. It's a smart and proven method to catch someone who committed a heiness crime. Also, those very words are said and have been for years about my hometown. It's not just Greenville that people feel that way about. But as in my hometown, I also knew it could make or break a case as far as needing help from the public and it doesn't mean they can't do thier job. Asking the public IS doing their job.

  6. To dukeblackohio, What I am saying is you are only negative toward the DCSO and GPD. They have their faults, but there is a whole lot of good people working for both departments. People who are proud to serve are community.

  11. Yes, I for one, would rather not read comments made by someone who crucifies the English language, so go away, DBO.

  12. It's not the schools fault you have terrible grammar and can't spell, and no, I am not a teacher and I went to MV.
In this day and age with the resources on the internet you could sharpen your skills quite a bit.
Here is a great add on spell checker for Internet Explorer, install it and highlight a word, it spell checks it and gives you an option to look it up on Merriam Webster as well.

  14. dukeblackohio, Guest#1, can you say off topic. This is a place to post comments on a given topic not a place to bash and smash. Remember Free speech is not limited to only those who can speak and spell well. It is for all.

  15. @1018.. i don't think you know what crucify means.

Duke's spelling/grammar is horrible, but is it so hard to understand what he is trying to say?

Just because you don't know what happened, doesn't mean the PD doesn't know what happened. Just because they haven't made an arrest, doesn't mean they won't. It could be that the toxicology reports support he didn't die from being attacked, and thus no arrest... maybe the results still aren't back yet (i believe they said it would take into November/December, but i'm not sure).

  16. An arrest has been made, I hope the naysayers like the taste of well earned Crow, enjoy!

  17. Oh my god I can't believe it took this long to make an arrest. CSI does it in an hour. I guess that is what some of you thought an investigation takes. I guess you would rather have someone in jail on fast and sloppy police work than a conviction on good, competant evidence. Of course you know that people that are the most critical usually have a skeleton in the closet and hold a grudge about a prior experience with law enforcement.

  18. If you want all the crimes in Greenville and Darke County solved in an hour like you see on TV, then buy us all the fancy equipment they have! I'm sure the officers/deputies would love to spend less time solving each crime. DBO, you should just donate a couple million dollars to the GPD or DCSO so we can get a bunch of fancy equipment and solve all the crimes you think we can't solve without your help!

  19. I thought it was spelled school

  20. The thing about a lot of the fancy equipment seen on TV is that it doesn't even exist. An extensive amount of services are available to Darke County through the regional crime lab in Dayton. Additionally many local officers are trained in evidence collection and scene processing.

I'm sure there are some tools that the departments would like to have, but it isn't necessary to have crime lab-type services within Darke County.

  21. 10:52 - I was being facetious. My point was that law enforcement has to wait for results to be sent from a lab that services multiple jurisdictions. Yes, the crime lab in Dayton does have an extensive amount of services, but how many other departments do they serve? Unless each department in the Country has their own personal lab, it's going to take some time to get results back. So, if people think that we need the results back the next day then they can donate millions of dollars to law enforcement and help out instead of b*tching and moaning.
