Santa to visit Arcanum on November 28th

Santa Claus is coming to Arcanum on Nov. 28! According to the Arcanum Area Business Association, Santa will arrive during the annual parade and go directly to the Santa House. Letters submitted to Santa's Mail Box or to the Arcanum Post Office by Nov. 23 will be read by Santa - who will choose two lucky children to ride in the parade with him. To be considered, letters should contain addresses and a phone number. However, all letters to Santa Claus will be accepted through Christmas Eve.

The Business Association will also be giving four gift certificates for $25 to adults, so be sure to signup at the local businesses. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. at the school house and end at the Santa House where Santa will see all of the children that day to find out the answer to that all important question "What would you like for Christmas?" Santa will be in his house every Saturday until Christmas with treats and pictures.

Thanks to the Arcanum Lions and several volunteers, the Santa House has been redecorated this year. Wheels were added to make the house easier to move.

  4. Also, an ordinance was passed designating the site of the seasonal Santa House, placing it at Troutwine Auto at the corner of East George and Main Street.
