A new low for Obama

Any comments on this?

  1. Was Bush perfect? No. But should any of us really be surprised that our current president is losing his appeal? Most people - even those that voted for him - are discovering that he really isn't qualified for government at this level, and that he's a whole lot of talk, but really not much action. I don't see any "change" coming either.

  3. There has never been a president elected since the "poles" have been taking public opinion of the sitting president, that after he was in office for a year his approval record didn't decline. Everyone that is all fired up and have there hopes energized find out he has little or no effect in turning around the world.

  4. This isn't simply the standard decline new presidents face. Obama's approval rating is the lowest ever recorded for a president at this point in his term.

It still scares me that 47% of people actually approve of what he is doing to this country.

  5. Bob's right, this is the norm. But I can't for the life of me figure this president out. I've seen good and bad presidents in my lifetime, but this one talks and talks and talks, but nothing really seems to be going on other than more talks, more meetings, and more photos. Can someone tell me why he got a peace prize? If it's given out for talking, then my mother-in-law should have 5 or 6 of them by now!

  6. I'd simply like him and all of our elected officials to do whats best for the country and stop spending money we don't have. I hope this wakes us all up. I am disappointed in nearly all of them as well as circuit judges who continually go against the will of the people.

  7. Everyone should settle down and give Obama a chance. He has done more in his first year as President than any other I can remember. Unemployment will get better when companies start turning in better earnings. The DOW has risen 4000 points since the first of March. That is a prediction of better earnings on the horizon. Give him another year before condeming him.

  12. I personally like / dislike Obama about as much as any other pres. that we've had. But I personally (not having telivision currently) would like to know honestly... what has he done, and what is he proposing to work on. And don't say "he's done nothing" in response to this... if that were true, we'd have seen an impeachment by now, obviously progress is being made in some area, I'd like to know what specifically. If anyone knows, please reply.

  13. DJ: Contemporaneous polls show as follows: USAToday/Gallup (+3); Gallup (+6); Fox(!) (+6). Even the "outlier" Rasmussen poll you cite is actually -11 overall. The graph you selected shows only the "strongly" approve vs. "strongly" disapprove figure(which is -19). Just thought I throw is out because the way your post is presented it my give your readers the wrong impression and, heaven forbid, open you up to a charge of political bias in the media. ;)

  14. You're right - this is Rasmussen's "passion index." But it says right on the graphic "strongly approve" and "strongly disapprove," so I don't think any wrong impression was given. Maybe you just like the results of those historically liberal-leaning polls better ... ;) ... It's all how you phrase the question in these polls also. Rasmussen is sometimes referred to as "conservative," but their polls are consistently the most accurate. Those other polls are never taken to task for how they are regularly wrong.

As to the allegation of political bias ... guilty as charged.

  15. Not a republican...just conservative. I'm not afraid to slam on any party politically. None of them are really worth a piece of tin anymore. I just thought that obama should have given himself a "B"....he already has a peace prize (insert sarcastic smile)
