Well, almost. Rather than specifically profiling Muslims, the Obama administration has just decided to profile all the countries that the Muslim terrorists come from. It's a lame, politically correct way of justifying what needs to be done. But at least it's being done.
Has any white male caused a terroristic threat? PROFILE THOSE SOBs
ReplyDeleteThe Oklahoma City bombing occurred on April 19, 1995 when American militia movement sympathizer Timothy McVeigh, with the assistance of Terry Nichols, destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.[1] It was the most significant act of terrorism on American soil until the September 11 attacks in 2001, claiming the lives of 168 victims and injuring more than 680.[2][3] The blast destroyed or damaged 324 buildings within a sixteen–block radius,[4] destroyed or burned 86 cars, and shattered glass in 258 nearby buildings.[5] The bomb was estimated to have caused at least $652 million worth of damage.[6]
ReplyDeleteYes, but McVeigh and Nichols never got on an airplane.
ReplyDeleteYou might also take out the footnotes so that the rest of us at least have the illusion that you're coming up with your own thoughts.
ReplyDeleteBob, Your argument is terrible. Oklahoma City was years before 9/11 and has nothing to do with airline safety. It's as if you got your argument from a liberal blog and just copied it here. Try to be at least somewhat relevant.
ReplyDeleteBob has been here before...just ignore his ignorance. The Oklahoma City event was not, and never will be, in the same classification as September 11, 2001.
ReplyDeleteSooner or later our country will have to look to history---what did Isabella of Spain do when the muslims took over her country? Europe is drowning in Muslim extremists. London is no longer recognizable as a Bristish city.
ReplyDelete1. The first question was about the existence of white terrorists. There was no mention of planes in the question.
ReplyDelete2. Bob responded with a reference to the Oklahoma City bombing.
3. Bob actually checked and found a reference for statistics concerning that terrorist tragedy. I realize that stating facts is a novel idea for many of you, but it's worth it for you to give it a try sometime.
4. Many of you are equating this war on terrorism as a religious war against Islam. Maybe we all need to take a field trip down to the Mosque in Cincinnati so we can meet a few folks of the Islamic faith. There are extremists, yes. There are also Christian extremists.
5. Profiling is not always a bad thing. It is a dangerous road, however. We need not repeat the errors made during WWII and the Japanese American detainment camps.
LL, I lived on the west coast during the Japanese internment. The camps were as much for the protection of the Japanese as a precaution. Hatred ran high when news of atrocities reached families of soldiers who lived thgere.
