The political winds have changed

Today, President Barack Obama attended a democratic political rally, at a university, in Massachussetts, and failed to fill a 3,000-seat arena ... and got heckled.

  1. Could it be that he has shown his true colors, even to those who worsipped him? Couldn't fill a 3,000 seat stadium and was heckled? Oh, the sweet smell of REAL change.....Obama, Pelosi and Reid need to be in a court room in handcuffs and shackles.Let's see that next! Americans are watching, while drinking TEA instead of Koolaid!

  2. Is Bush going to be in the courtroom right next to them?

  3. Why is it that every time someone criticizes President Obama, the response is something about President Bush? President Bush has been out of office for over 12 months, President Obama has been steering the ship for well over a year… certainly he can stand on his own now…

  5. Are you kidding me John, Bush had alot to do with the downward spiral the U.S. is in. I hope you think it was really worth it for our country to go to war for oil and to be left with people killed? Just ask Russia what they had left after sticking there nose in the middle east.nothing but being broke , you would think the U.S. would look at history not repeat the same mistakes.

  6. why is it that every time someone criticizes Obama, they also claim he has broken some laws?

Are disagreeing with someone's ideas/performance and absolutely hating that person and wanting them to fail equal things?

  7. Doug, no I’m not kidding you, and believe what you want to believe… however what does that have to do with this thread about President Obama not being able to fill 3,000 seats or being heckled?

  8. Every president in history has had failures - some more prominant than others. Anyone remember Jimmy Carter? He is by far the worst president in history........policy failures, foriegn affair failures, domestic problems. You name it, he messed it up and it took Reagan, GHW Bush , and even Clinton to fix up some of his mess.
Obama is no better than any other president.

  9. Jimmy Carter.... oh dear Lord, he was awful (and I'm a democrat).
As for Obama, I didn't vote for him. I guess I can say that I'm one dem that was not fooled.

  10. Could someone clue me in as to what the heckler was saying? I couldn't quite make it out. Sounded like something to due with abortion, but couldn't make it out.

Also, the Democrats are learning the leasson the Republicans learned in 2008 about thinking specific seats are safe. In Ohio, look to the seat Ralph Regula used to fill, a Republican, now held by Democrat John Boccierri after Regula retired. The Republican party didn't really think the seat was going to be an issue and didn't put much in terms of finances into it. While Boccierri pummelled his opponent with ads, the Republicans didn't really think much of it. Then all of the sudden polls showed the D up, so the party kicked it in come September, but it was too late and the seat was lost. It will likely go back Republican in 2010, but just a lesson to never assume anyone has a political election won.

  11. It took bush 8 years to screw this country up I think it will take longer than a year to fix it.As far as carter goes how can you evan mention him in the same sentence as obama.Thats just wrong.

No...mentioning Carter with Obama is right. Carter was not prepared for government on that level and made a ton of mistakes. Obama is showing that he is not ready for this level either, and the cracks are just starting to show.
The difference between the two men is that Obama knows how to talk and make himself look smooth and smart.

  13. uh...it's called an occupancy limit you morons

people were turned away from this event because the limits (set by the Fire Marshall) was reached

  14. I'm calling you out on that 1:52. What's your source that they were at full occupancy? And why would Northeastern U. have a 3,000 capacity arena when capacity was something less?

  15. Anonymous January 19, 2010 1:52 PM, come up with some proof of this, before running your mouth. I think you are the moron. Plus use your name or at least a user name dumbass.
