Montage is now open at 7am

In an attempt to fill the void that has been left by the departure of Broadway Joes, we are going to be opening at 7am. We are offering the same scones, bagels, muffins, our own cinnamon rolls, and Boston Stoker coffee. Come in and join us before work.

  2. Great.... coffee and a muffin for what? $4+ bucks? Sorry, I can do just as well and save some bucks by having it every morning at home. Thanks anyway, Aaron.

  3. I let comment #3 through just so I could respond. First off, if you're going to gripe about something, at least put your name on it. Secondly, if you don't like the prices, don't go. It's a simple as that. But you don't need to dump on somebody who's trying to maintain a business in our community. Sure, you can always get food/coffee cheaper at home, but what fun is that? It's fun to go into a nice place, see some friendly faces, and get some food and coffee that's better than what I'd prepare. That's worth way more than the few extra pennies I'd save by making toast at home.

Get over yourself #3. I'm glad I won't be running into you at Montage.

  6. Lighten up DJ....everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if we do not agree. (Don't get like "ol John H and start slamming people for being frugal homebodies - makes you look bad). I do go to Montage and the other coffee place sometimes, but I do have to agree with annon. to a point. It can get expensive to have a cup of joe at some of these shops on a regular basis.

  7. I'm sure DJ & a lot of us feel same - not going to go there (or anywhere for that matter) everyday, we'd go broke - eating or snacking "out" all of the time - but a nice change, and he's (DJ's) right - some friendly faces and some good conversation.
Thanks Aaron for 'providing an option' for Downtown !!! Chris

  9. Thanks Aaron & Montage! I am a regular lunch customer & really appreciate your presence in downtown Greenville. Sometimes I like to "treat" myself with good coffee in the morning or a cinnamon roll (instead of my usual bowl of oatmeal)
    Great news.

  10. I think its GREAT that Mr. Cox can and is willing to attempt this, I hope it goes over well and works out for him and the community! But I do have a problem with Darke Journal going off on someone (or anyone) for voicing their opinions to that which they may disagree. Aren't we still in AMERICA? Lighten up old chap and allow people to be human as well as Americans, after all thats what helps make this country GREAT!
