Full-time job opportunity - Engineering Inspector

The Greenville City Engineering Office is currently accepting applications for an Engineering Inspector. Starting pay will be between $16.83 - $21.63 per hour with a 37.5 hour work week

Job Responsibilities: Primary construction season duties include: the on-site inspection of various city public works projects, private infrastructure affecting or connecting to public infrastructure, and public improvement construction and placement. Completes daily reports regarding inspections performed. During seasons when construction activities are limited, the inspector will, under direction, design and prepare construction plans for public works projects; prepare technical specifications; prepare permitting documents; prepare construction cost estimates; inspect zoning permit applications; respond to inquiries from the general public; and perform other duties as assigned by the City Engineer. In addition, zoning inspection will be performed on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications: Associate degree in civil engineering technology, construction management or comparable education with strong technical concentration; training and/or experience which evidences knowledge of construction, surveying and drafting.
