This is a phenom that occurs in a fire called a fire chimney of fire tornado. It is caused internally, not from an outside source. You are seeing heated gases forming the funnel. Fires sort of create their own "whether" systems and this is one of the things that happen. When anything burns, wood, gasoline, paper, the substance is heated till it gives off gases and the gases burn. This is an excellent shot.
