Chaos in the Darke County Tea Party (part II)

In response to their recent endorsement debacle, the Darke County Tea Party has issued a press statement (linked here because it wasn't forwarded to DarkeJournal).

In the press statement, by their own admission, the Tea Partiers concede the following:

  • they were inflitrated by an "ACORN-type attempt" to influence their endorsement process.
  • that while the President of the group disqualified himself from the vote counting because he was a declared supporter of Seth Morgan, two other supporters of Morgan ended up counting the votes.
  • that due to the events of the evening, [s]tatements about corruption and bias have continued in the press and electronic media.
  • that one of its leaders used unacceptable language during the previous meeting.

Note to the Tea Partiers: you have six months before the next election. You might try to work out the kinks on your endorsement process a little bit.

  1. Does this mean that all of their endorsements are tainted? Next time the "salty old sailor" should limit his expletives to Arrrrrgh!!

  2. Acorn was trying to subvert the process of the true patriots. I imagine Obama orchestrated this. Tea-Bagging for life!

  3. Show me any organization that does not have kinks! Their spirit is noteworthy.

  4. The APPEARANCE of corruption is the damaging issue here. The group's leadership has permanently destroyed the integrity of this once patriotic idea.

I like the 'it's not our fault, we're victims' angle. that's sure to appease most ppl.

  6. Anyone who has been around Greenville knows about the leader of this group---that should have warned off anyone who was thinking.

  7. People who were actually there that night (myself included) can completely dissect the entire ridiculous letter- along with many other correspondences that many of us have seen between these people. Lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies......and more lies!

How can you say "infiltrated" when it was done by the leadership?

  11. How about instead of calling you teabaggers, I just refer to all of as jackoffs. The title seems to fit better.

  13. Bill,You seem like a really intelligent individual with a vast vocabulary. If you don't have a job, maybe you should try journalism.
If you have anything intelligent to say.
