Clerical volunteer needed

Interested in building your resume to include receptionist experience? Council on Rural Services is seeking volunteers to assist with a variety of clerical and receptionist duties at the organization’s office on Third Street in Greenville.

Provide guests with their first impression of Council on Rural Services by greeting guests, answering the telephone, guiding visitors to the appropriate meeting rooms and more. Other duties may include performing clerical tasks, collecting fees, and locking the facility at the end of the day. Volunteers for this position should be at least 16 years of age. A criminal background check is required. The ideal volunteer for this position will function well in a team, have a great sense of humor, be friendly and enjoy working with diverse populations. This position is available Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in Greenville. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one four hour shift every two weeks.

“This is a great opportunity to interact with the public and be a huge asset to our agency as the Director of First Impressions,” says Jeff Vaughn, ACES Coordinator. “Volunteers in this position will set the tone for each visitor’s experience with our agency.”
