On May 20, 2010 at approximately 5:30 AM the Darke County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and Clandestine Drug Lab Unit raided two suspected methamphetamine drug labs located in southwest Darke County. The Darke County Sheriff’s Office was also assisted by Preble County Sheriff’s Deputies and Eaton Police Detectives. The raid was the result of an investigation that has spanned over two months. A search warrant was executed at 266 Braffetsville-North Road south of New Madison, OH. Also searched in the raid was a log cabin about a mile away on Wiley Road. Evidence of Methamphetamine manufacturing was found at both locations. The case is still under investigation and no arrests were made associated with the drug lab at this time. Charges are expected to be filed after the case is completed and reviewed by the Darke County Prosecuting Attorney.
