  3. Crop dusting is one of the most hazardous flying jobs there is. Not only do you have to fly the plane, you have to watch for the trees & power lines, get low enough for the srpay to be effective on the crops, remember your spray line with each sweep and operate the release of the spray.
    Respect the crop dusting pilot - very cool!

  6. Crop dusting usually is more costly than the normal way of spraying. That is why you don't see it as much as it use to be. I think their were several areas in the area sprayed, not just in the south but also in the western area of the county. It was all planed out to try to cover all areas that had to be done. We have had a lot of rain this year and many of the fields still have water laying which in the normal way of application would cause many ruts in the fields.
