  1. Wow, only 31 attended? That's kinda sad.

  2. 31 is probably a decent showing for a Greenville class reunion for any class graduating in the last 10-15 years. Honestly, people just don't show up to these things. Once out of high school it is so easy to keep in contact with people via facebook or instant messengers that you already know most of what the people you actually want to hear about are up to, anyway. Just the times.

  3. A few of the people who didn't come felt that they are still getting their lives together... and were maybe a little embarrassed about where they are now. Which was crazy, because everyone had a great time. Definitely going to the 10th!

  4. I'm sure more people would have been there if you had invited everyone.

  6. As usual with this town and school in general little effort to invite members would go a long way. Sadly this is the normal way things are done here, to keep those unpopular people out of the way. Pretty sad, but if someone graduates, they should be included, you might be surprised what 5 years can do for some people. Of course others there might collect the overdue child support.

  7. Thanks to all who did attend. We had a great time! Just to clear the air, it should be known that every attempt was made to invite every member of the class of '05. We began with a facebook invite. If you replied no to the facebook invite, it was assumed that was your RSVP and we did not send a further formal invitation as to not waste paper and money on postage. If we didn't have a response, we used the address that was in the database at the high school. If that was not your current address, we had no way of knowing that. In addition, there were some invitations that were returned and Dianne Brown graciously attempted to contact those people, in person, that she could track down. The class officers did make every effort and relied on word of mouth as well to make this reunion a success.

For future reference, if you hear about a 2005 reunion and you graduated from GHS in 2005, you're invited. No one is excluded from these events. We would love to see EVERY member there (though I think that is a stretch :) Also, Betsy Brown (betsyrbrown@gmail.com) has generously offered to try to keep an updated list of addresses so that this kind of misunderstanding does not happen again. Keep her posted on your most recent address, and as always check facebook if you have it.

Thanks again for all who did and could attend. It was nice to catch up!
