The league is set for Season #1 of DarkeJournal fantasy football
Many of you probably couldn't care less. However - for the football fans out there - some of the DJ regulars will be competing in a fantasy football league this year. The league is set to "public," so anybody can check in, offer advice, make fun of the losers, etc. The link is: http://darkejournal.league.fantasy.nfl.com/ - and will be provided throughout the year. The draft will take place Monday night, and the competitors are listed below.

ReplyDeletePlease explain how Fantasy Football works. I love football but have never heard of Fantasy Football
ReplyDeleteeveryone picks a teams made up of real life nfl players. For example, my team would have a quarterback, 2 running backs, 3 wide receivers, etc.
ReplyDeleteMy team gets points for individual stats gained by the real life players. (if Carson Palmer throws a TD and he is on my team, I get 6 points). Each week I'm paired against another team. If my team has more points, I win.
That's it in a very simplified form. There's also the ability to trade, sign free agents, etc.
Ok I get it. This will be fun to watch!
