I truly believe that there are too many teenagers with their license. 16 is too young to drive for many kids. There are some responsible kids out there, but not all of them should have their license! when I was 16 I didn't want to drive, I had- and still do have- a healthy fear of driving. Most kids don't have that fear; 'nothing bad will happen to me...' I have been in 3 accidents in my 14 years of driving and the two that were my fault were in the first two years of me having my license. Parents: PLEASE teach your children that driving is a privelage, not a given right.
I am so grateful these girls are ok and hope they learn that it can happen to them.

just saying, 16 has been the age for a LONG time.
ReplyDeletestatistically speaking, teens are among the lowest in terms of % of licensed drivers who are in accidents...
Popular sentiment aside, I think most kids who have just received their licenses are not carefree, but are typically more cautious than others.
