Enjoy a DCCAdent Evening with Auction for two OSU - MICHIGAN Game Tickets!

A DCCAdent Evening, a multi-course dinner paired with wines followed by music from the band “Exploit” from Celina will be topped off with a live auction of two tickets to The OSU/Michigan game. This Darke County Center for the Arts fundraiser is being planned for October 8 at the Greenville Golf Course. Tickets are courtesy of State Representative Jim Zehringer.

The meal, typical of Spain, will have each course matched with Veleta wines from a Spanish winery, Dominio Buenavista. Dr. Juan Palomar, of Dayton and also of Ugijar, Spain is the owner of Veleta Wines. He will be presenting his award winning wines at the event.

Tickets for $70.00 per person include dinner, wines, musical entertainment, tax, gratuity, and a donation to DCCA. They are available from DCCA, 547-0908 or from the Greenville Golf Course, 548-2700. Ticket purchase deadline is October 1.

The winery Dominio Buenavista is located in Ugijar, a remote village on the south bank of Sierra Nevada, Spain. The region, of spectacular beauty, is known as the Alpujarra, cradle to some of the oldest wine making traditions in the world. Since planted in 1992, the vines at Dominio Buenavista continue to mature and astound with the quality of the grapes they yield. The Veleta Tempranillo 2007, was the Gold Medal Winner at the Cincinnati Wine Festival in 2010. At the Madrid Festival in March 2010 the Veleta Nolados 2007 won the Ruby Award and the Vijiriega 2009 the Emerald Award, the Sweet Melodies 2009 also won the Emerald Award. Dr. Juan and Nola Palomar owners, use integration of climate, care to the vines and a meticulous elaboration process to produce wines that will bring to your palate amazing sensations.

Darke County Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit community arts council that presents and promotes performing and fine arts, encouraging cultural enrichment in the community. Proceeds from the DCCAdent Evening will be used to help under-write the costs of presenting high quality professional performing artists at a reasonable ticket price, enabling DCCA to fulfill its mission of enhancing the quality of life in our community.

The” Tapas Menu” for the “DCCAdent Evening” will include: as guests arrive, Vijirega will be served along with Hors d’Oeuvres of Andalusian Canape’s: Jamon Serrano with Asparagus,Queso Manchego with Walnuts, Chorizo do Pamplona, Shrimp & Boquerones. After guests are seated, the appetizer course, Frog Legs Salteadas with Roasted Root Vegetables will be served with Vijirega. Veleta Tempranillo will accompany Paella Valenciano. Veleta Nolados will enchance the main course, Pepper Steak Brocheta with Nolados Sauce, Olives Stuffed with Montenebro Cheese, and Cambaro Potato Fritter. The Veleta Cabernet Sauvignon will be served with Lamb Chuleta, Eggplant Frito, & Lentejas Couscous. The dessert, Tarta de Santiago, will feature Sweet Melodies, a dessert wine.
