Jordan Insurance sponsors Darke County Center for the Arts

DCCA’s FAMILY THEATRE SERIES IS SPONSORED
BY JORDAN INSURANCE AGENCIES OF GREENVILLE AND SIDNEY
Darke County Center for the Arts recently received a sponsorship donation from the Jon Jordan Insurance Agency of Greenville and the Matt Jordan Insurance Agency of Sidney, supporting the Family Theater Series, programming for children and their families. According to Jon Jordan, “We have chosen to support Darke County Center for the Arts because the Arts are important to us and to our community; especially for the children, we need to provide these opportunities for our kids.” DCCA’s Executive Director Julie Strait indicated that DCCA is grateful for the sponsorship donation by the Jordan Insurance Agencies which helps make it possible to continue meeting the rising costs of presenting high quality performing artists without raising ticket prices.

DCCA’s Family Theatre Series is designed to attract a wide-ranging audience which includes many preschool children enjoying their first theater experience, as well as senior citizens who enjoy the shows’ strong depiction of traditional values.

This season’s Family Theatre Series opens on November 14 with ArtsPower’s creative and colorful production of The Rainbow Fish. The season also includes Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s delightful adaptation of Leo Lionni’s popular books Frederick, Swimmy, and Inch By Inch on January 23, 2011. Leland Faulkner will complete the series on March 13 as a skilled mime, master conjurer, and a mesmerizing teacher of the lost art of shadowgraphs. All performances are at St. Clair Memorial Hall in Greenville, Sundays at 2:00 P.M.

Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased one month prior to each performance at Readmore’s Hallmark in Greenville and Worch Memorial Public Library in Versailles. Tickets may also be purchased at the door one hour prior to each performance or ordered in advance by contacting DCCA at (937) 547-0908 or dcca@centerforarts.net.
