Christy Igo's program “Lizzie Borden: A life" - part of the Garst lecture series

Igo's program was full of laughter, mystery, and horror as she brings Lizzie Borden to life to tell HER STORY of the murder of her beloved father and step mother. This crime is one of the bloodiest, most notorious and mysterious crimes of the 19th century!

An audience of about 100 people listened spell-bound as Christy Igo told the story of the very real Lizzie Borden. Ms. Igo also answered questions about the court case after her performance. Audience members had to decide for themselves about her guilt or innocence.

The next in the Garst Museum lecture series will be a special November 7, 2:00 p.m. program with a Salute to Veterans Panel.

These lectures are free to the public, thanks to a grant from the HOPE Foundation and the Harry D. Stephens Memorial Trust. For more information and an opportunity to become a Garst member, please call 548-5250. [photo by Barbara Martin]
