I am thrilled to see another business coming to Broadway but the hrs have me a bit puzzled. 10-3 each day M-F? I guess those of us who work till 5 each day and have Sat. off won't be able to patronize this store. But welcome anyway
It honestly sounds like someone who has kids in school and just wants to "run a business" on the side. Something tells me they are going to be treating this business as a tax write-off and an outlet to get rid of the clothes they no longer wear and items they no longer use. But, hey, best of luck!
I am the one who made the very first comment and it saddens me to discover this new business involves the challenged individuals because I work with challenged students and support them in anyway I can. However because my job is past 4:00 means I cannot support my local group of challenged individuals. (I don't like using the word "disabled" because it means not able and my students are quite able. Maybe when I am on vacation I'll be able to visit their store and lend them my "support". Welcome once again to Broadway!
today I shopped at this new business and was delighted to meet the employees who are working so hard at the store. This isn't a consignment store but they are looking for donations. So if anyone is cleaning around the house and find some items they no longer need why not donate them to Hand to Hand. The money they make off the items helps pay the workers and also field trips for these individuals. I spoke with the woman in charge of the store and she said they will be open on Sat.in the future.

ReplyDeleteSeriously with hours like that why bother? Broadway needs businesses that are willing to stay open past 5!!

ReplyDeleteGlad to see business's coming to town, but really....another thrift store? We have what 2 empty buildings on Wagner and a 3rd one to come. SAD....
ReplyDeleteI've got to agree with the others. Seriously, 10-3. Who do you want to patronize your business? Obviously, not anyone that's working and making money.
ReplyDeleteNice attitude everyone! It's not your usual business. The workers are developmentally disabled - similar to Wayne Industries.
ReplyDeleteI am embarassed by the first four comments. I wish this store the best of luck and applaud the effort.

ReplyDeleteTypical Darke County attitude, criticize before you have all the facts.
