Seriously who made the determination for CareFlight? Let's waste some more money....ridiculous. Maybe Stegall can straighten this procedure up when he gets to the courthouse.....hahahaha!
hey im sorry he was having chest pains but he scared the clerk to death and he knew what he was doing was wrong i agree if you do the crime then you do the time problem is with the courts not going through with what the impose
Sending a patient by CareFlight to Dayton is common practice by both hospitals and EMS for serious cardiac issues according to people "in the know". This is determined after evaluation and 12-lead EKG testing. In other words, Mr. Newbauer received the same care as anyone else, just as he should.
It is the job of the judicial system to punish criminal offenders, not medical professionals. Perhaps the lynch-mob should consider that not providing appropriate and customary medical care to an inmate would result in the expenditure of a lot more of your tax dollars in the resulting lawsuit.
Although I have a problem with a lot of the frills inmates receive, full and appropriate medical care for an emergency condition should never be withheld.
well, He can PAY for it like everyone else. Somehow I doubt if he's robbing a store and threatening innocent people, he has any insurance! My Grandma needs an ekg-she should rob a store...
And we paid for CareFlight. In the immortal words of someone famous, " If you can't do the time, don't do the crime". What a scam.
ReplyDeleteI hope we get the follow up. If he was found by hospital to be ok, I'll be even more disgusted.....

Well said Josh F. It is not ethical to deny anyone care..

ReplyDeleteYes, and maybe we all should become indigent for that is the only way many of us would be able to afford such care.
