Christmas on George Street

Enjoy a nostalgic hometown Christmas celebration at ‘Christmas on George Street.’ This family friendly event will be held Saturday, November 27 from 10am until 9pm on the brick streets of historic downtown Arcanum. Local businesses will be open and decked out for the holidays with items for gift giving and home decor. Santa Claus is coming to town at 2pm in the Arcanum Christmas Parade. The Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society Christmas Bazaar will be held 9am to 3pm.

As the evening hours arrive, luminaries will be aglow in the George Street business district. The Faith United Methodist Church choir will be caroling and old-fashioned horse drawn carriage rides will be available. Snacks and hot drinks will be offered and drawings for door prizes will be held at various locations. There is truly something for everyone at this festive event.

Sponsoring businesses are My Favorite Things, Shepherd’s Creek and Shop Around The Corner. Also open from 6pm to 9pm will be the Arcanum Garden Club and Brumbaugh’s Fruit Farm at the Historical Society house, By All Means Hair Salon, Country Barn Primitives, The Pampered Chef, Smith’s Mercantile, Staley’s Antiques and Tastefully Simple. Don't miss this exceptional event during the most wonderful time of the year!

  1. If they would allow a beer tent, they might get better attendance!
