Commissioners extend Big Lots lease for three more years

At the February 9th Darke County Commission meeting, the commissioners approved a three year extension for Big Lots to remain in the Wagner Avenue Plaza. Big Lots will pay $7,500 per month (or $90,000 per year) for the three years of the lease, with options for additional extensions.

  3. I'll never understand why any government agency owns and rents out commercial properties.

  4. I agree it just makes no sense for a government agency being in direct competition with the private sector. Just like the City installing the extension of the water and sewer in the industrial park… It’s bad enough loosing jobs to foreign countries, but loosing jobs to our government just never will make sense to me. I guess it’s just a sign of the times…

  5. To bad the Commissioners are only able to pay interest only payments on the loan on that property.
