The Arcanum Historical Society is holding an “Anything and Everything” Rummage Sale on July 27 continuing through July 30th. The large rummage sale will be held at the historical building located at 127 West George Street in Arcanum both inside and outside of the building. The items are too many for a listing but all items are guaranteed to be sold at low and very affordable prices. The society is still accepting donations for the rummage sale until Tuesday, July 26th. Items may be left on the front or back porch of the historical building.
Rummage sale hours will begin on Wednesday, July 27 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. continuing on Thursday, July 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p. m. Friday, July 29th, the hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. , the rummage sale will conclude on Saturday, July 30th from 9:00 to 12:00.
The Farmers’ Market will be held as usual on Saturday, July 30th during the last day of the rummage sale. A visit to the Farmers’ Market is a must to every shopper while doing their Saturday morning business in downtown Arcanum. The Farmers’ Market will continue through August 13th. Every Saturday brings new vendors and offerings at the market. Popular items have been frozen soups to dinner items, herbal plants and pies, cakes, bread and yeast rolls. New to the market has been a vegetable stand. New vendors, both Arcanum community and non-Arcanum community are welcomed at anytime. No advanced arrangements are necessary. Just come and set up your wares for sale at Veterans’ Park in Arcanum. Farmers’ Market hours are 9:00 to 12:00 every Saturday.
The Historical Society will again maintain and operate the northern admission gate at the Darke County Fair. They are seeking volunteers from their members and anyone else who would like to participate. Contact Dick or Sharon Troutwine at 692-5218 to volunteer for this project.
