KARLH MCCALLISTER MEMORIAL GOLF OUTING RAISES MORE THAN $13,000

The second annual Karlh McCallister Memorial Golf Tournament raised more than $13,000 for the Bridges to College Program.

“This was again a tremendous tribute to Karlh and a great benefit to Darke County students,” said Beth Sears, executive director of Bridges to College.
Bridges to College helps students go to college through one-on-one mentoring, educational programs and scholarships.

“Students are going to be able to learn more about college options, and we’ll be able to continue to provide students scholarships, thanks to the great outpouring of support from businesses, community members and area golfers,” Sears said.

Ninety-six golfers participated in the golf outing at the Greenville Golf Course on Saturday, June 25. This was an increase from 72 golfers during the inaugural event. “The golfers had a lot of fun playing the course and enjoyed the fantastic prizes that were provided by the golf course or donated by numerous vendors and friends of the McCallister family,” said Mike Barker, who organized the outing. “Again we want to thank all of the businesses, community and family members who supported this special day and event.”
