HERO RIDE TO ROLL ON PATRIOT DAY - COMMUNITY BLOOD CENTER SPONSORS 9/11 REMEMBRANCE POKER RUN

DARKE/SHELBY CO. – The Community Blood Center will honor the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with a rousing new awareness Poker Run called “The Hero Ride,” dedicated to “all heroes who give, serve and sacrifice for the sake of others.”

The inaugural Hero Ride will start and finish on Sunday, September 11 at the Versailles Knights of Columbus Hall at 8440 State Route 47 in Versailles. Riders and passengers must be 18 or older to participate.

Registration for the event opens at 11:30 am. First bike out rolls from K of C Hall at 12:30 pm, last bike in to K of C Hall is 4 pm. The entry fee is $10 for the drivers and $10 for passengers.

The ride will feature a scenic route through Darke and Shelby Counties. Food and refreshments are included in the registration fee, and there will be a Best Hand Wins prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing.
