WHIOtv.com: Bath Salts Now Banned in Ohio

WHIOtv.com has coverage of the bill signed into law yesterday by Governor Kasich that will ban the sale, use and possession of the substance known as "bath salts." These substances have been discussed heatedly over the past few months as a string of incidents occurred in the area due to their abuse. One such case we posted about lead to the hospitalization of 4 local teens. Another incident saw a man become suicidal and enter a standoff with DCSO Deputies after abusing the substance.

  2. Why is there no information on who the creeps are that the stores bought it from - like no one know who manufactures it? That is where the real problem lies - is it some China company? Does anybody know? There is nothing on the internet about who the manufacturers are and from whom the stores were buying it.

  3. 10:56, your post is a joke. Are you seriously comparing a product sold for no other reason than to get high to an automible? Completely clueless. yes they are marketed as "bath salts". Everyone and their dumb brother knows they are sold for one purpose, especially when it is "head shop" type business who carry them. Get a clue. To not ban these would have been a huge failure by the state of Ohio. Congrats to them for getting it done.

  4. What's a joke, is everbody thinking that by banning something will take care of the problem, WRONG. How long has Cocaine, marijuana, Meth, and many other drugs been illegal, has that taken care ot the problem, NO. The only people that laws affect is law abiding citizens, it will do nothing for the people that choose to use this product. It's a choice.

  5. Maybe people will still get bath salts but they will not be buying them in ohio from stores at least. I guess we should start allowing stores to sell heroin and meth since people will get them anyways.
