A DCCAdent Evening Featuring Banfi Wines

Would you enjoy a decadent evening of great food, wines, music and a chance to bid on OSU tickets?

A Darke County Center for the Arts fundraiser, the DCCAdent Evening, is planned for Friday, October 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Greenville Golf Course. The evening will include a multi-course Italian dinner paired with wines from Banfi winery, of Montalcino, Italy (www.castellobanfi.com). Bill Whiting, Banfi’s director of wine education, will be presenting his wines at the event. Fun House Mirrors from Columbus, Ohio will be providing music for dinner and dancing.

Castello Banfi is a family-owned vineyard estate and winery in the Brunello region of Tuscany, Italy . Together with its sister estates in Piedmont, Vigne Regali and Principessa Gavi, it has become recognized the world over for its dedication to excellence. Critically acclaimed by the top guides in Italy and internationally, Castello Banfi has sparked a worldwide renaissance for the grand wines of Tuscany.

Chef Uwe Knebelsberger will prepare the authentic Italian menu. Upon arriving you will be welcomed with Banfi Brut and passed hors d’oeuvres of Zucchini Fritella with Artichoke, Gondola di Frutti Di Mare and Antipasto Spiedino. As the dinner begins you will enjoy their Fumaio wine with the fish course of Spigola Florentine. This will be followed by the CollePino wine with an Arugula Salad with Dates and Shaved Parmegiano Regiano. As the dinner continues the Chianti Superiore will be paired with Beef Braciole with Potato Gnocchi and Chianti Sauce. A dessert wine, Rosa Regale, will climax the evening with Chocolate Gelato.

New this year will be the opportunity for an optional tasting of the premium wines offered by Banfi. This unique experience will be available for an additional donation following dinner.

Also that evening, there will be an auction for 4 tickets to the November 19 OSU vs. Penn State game graciously donated by State Representative Jim & Sharon Buchy.

Darke County Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit community arts council that presents and promotes performing and fine arts, encouraging cultural enrichment in the community. Proceeds from the DCCAdent Evening will be used to help under-write the costs of presenting high quality professional performing artists at a reasonable ticket price, enabling DCCA to fulfill its mission of enhancing the quality of life in our community.

Tickets for $70.00, including dinner, wine, entertainment, tax, gratuity, and a donation to DCCA, are available at the DCCA office in Greenville Public Library or by calling 547-0908 or at the Greenville Golf Course. Ticket purchase deadline is September 30
