EUM to Host The Epic of Eden Workshop

Does your knowledge of the Old Testament feel like a grab bag of people, books and ideas? Do you find yourself avoiding it… resigning yourself to the fact that you won’t ever truly understand the Old Testament? Then the Epic of Eden workshop is for you.

On Friday, September 23rd and Saturday, September 24th EUM Church will host author and professor, Sandra Richter as she shares God’s story with us. This eight-hour seminar offers a solution: the big picture. The Epic of Eden workshop is designed to bring the Christian beyond a chaos of details and clarify the great story of Redemptive History. The first session is Friday, September 23rd from 6:30-9:00 PM and continues on Saturday, September 24th from 9:00-11:30 and 1:00-4:00 PM with lunch being on your own. The workshop will be at the EUM Worship Center, 1451 Sater Street in Greenville. The cost of the workshop is $15 or 2 for $25 so bring a friend. The book will be available at the workshop for $14, but is not necessary to attend the seminar. Can’t make it for the whole workshop? No problem, come and learn during whatever works for your schedule.

For more information you may call the church office at 548-3211, or visit our website to register and even pay online at www.eumchurch.org. Click the Epic of Eden slide on the home page to register and click the Pay Online tab to reserve your spot. Simply designate Epic of Eden under Conference/Retreat information.

Come and join us as we learn more about God’s story and the Old Testament. We sometimes forget that the Bible was cast upon the waters of history with one very specific, completely essential objective – to tell the epic tale of God’s ongoing quest to ransom his creation. It is all one story and if you are a believer, it is our story.
