JESSE GREEN TO SPEAK SEPTEMBER 12

Darke County Municipal Court Judge candidate, Jesse Green will speak to the Darke County Republican Women’s club on Monday, September 12th at 7:00pm in the Brethren’s Community Room on Chestnut Street in Greenville.

Jesse Green was born in Union City in 1962. He graduated from the Honors College at Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, with a major in political science and a minor in criminal justice. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the University Of Dayton School Of Law. Green has served in the U.S. military for 28 years, both in the Marines and the Army. He continued his education during his years in the military by attending the U.S. Marine Corps Basic School, Naval Justice School, Judge Advocate Officer Advanced Course, and U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio, the Court of Criminal Appeals for the Armed Forces, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

After leaving active duty with the Marine Corp, Jesse and his wife Tammy decided to settle in Greenville to raise their three children. Green currently serves Darke County as an Assistant Prosecutor, where he has worked since 1993. He also is currently serving in the Ohio Army National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel and a Staff Judge Advocate. Green is highly decorated for his military service, which includes a Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal. He has dedicated his entire adult life to serving his country and his community and is committed to continuing that service.

Jesse Green is running for Darke County Municipal Court Judge this November. He is an experienced leader and a fiscal conservative who will bring courtesy and respect to the municipal court. Green feels that, “A public servant should ever bear in mind that to hold public office is to serve the community.” Green and his family have a vested interest in making sure that Darke County is a safe community for families.
