Nursing Assistant/Cook - Provides care and supervision for residents in the County Home; follows regular schedule to assist residents; provides personal health maintenance (e.g., bathes, combs hair, trims nails, shaves, cleans teeth, changes clothes, etc.); feeds and/or assists with feeding as necessary; communicates with residents to establish and maintain friendly, relaxed atmosphere. May assist in performing food service duties as needed (e.g., assists in preparing and serving meals, cleaning utensils and work area, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications - Knowledge of safety practices and procedures; personal hygiene and the ability to complete tasks within scheduled time frame; develop and maintain good rapport with residents, families, associates, supervisors and general public; and maintain accurate records.
Hours – Darke County Home is a 24/7 facility. Hours may vary.
Benefits include – starting salary of $8.50/hr. and Public Employees Retirement System.
