Fisher Announcing Campaign to Represent the 80th District

Dave Fisher a Bethel Township Miami County resident will announce his candidacy for the 80th district for the Ohio House of Representatives on Wednesday the 7th at 1:00 pm at the Board of Elections in the Miami County Court House in Troy Ohio.

Dave’s decision to run was helped by the recent failure of Issue 2/Senate Bill 5 in Miami County.

Issue 2/Senate Bill 5 was an attack on the middle class in this district and state. For the Governor Kasich to blame the hard working middle class folks of this state for the budget woes we are facing is disingenuous at best and hypocritical. Do we need to remind our Governor and Representative Adams that since 1990 the Republican Party has controlled the governor’s office 18 of the last 22 years, They have controlled the State Senate 22 out of 22 years and have controlled the Ohio House 20 of the last 22 years. Now to point the finger at our Firemen, Police officers, Teacher’s and any of the hard working middle class is uncalled for.

Governor Kasich has showed us his playbook and he, the Ohio Senate and the Ohio House will continue to pass laws that will hurt the middle class worker. And We as the citizens of the state will have to continue to fight it by petitions or elect people like Dave Fisher to the Ohio House that will stand up for the workers of this great state of Ohio.

  1. Hard to vote for someone when he talks about Issue 2 "taking it to the middle class," yet now with the failure of Issue 2, jobs are being lost in the state of Ohio.

Perhaps the biggest enemy of the middle class is the middle class itself.

  2. Perhaps his campaign team's first order of business should be to send him to a college English class. Hell, middle school even! That is one HARD TO READ press release!!!

Best of luck to him. First order of business needs to be getting someone different to prepare press releases and campaign information. If he wants to get his message out, the most effective way to do so will be without the bevy of errors.

  4. This tactic has already been reported, Unions and a certain union loving party are selecting unknowns, claiming they are political "outsiders", to fill the legislature with people that support the raping of the taxpayer to protect themselves. The repeal of SB5 will be the down fall of Ohio. It use to be the "middle class" was hard working factory, small business people, and construction workers ect, people who actually created something. Now we are to believe that its who ever is on the tax payroll who does not create one thing.

  7. Nomad, the "downfall" will happen in late 2014 when King John Kasich is defeated and sent packing in his "bus."
