WHIOtv.com has the story of a watchful, proactive resident who was able to help save Christmas for a neighbor.
The neighbor witnessed men removing things from a home and loading them into a vehicle. The neighbor provided a description which matched a vehicle that was later spotted by law enforcement officers, who were able to stop and apprehend the suspects, Cody Rowe and Joshua Shepherd. Both remain in Darke County Jail. It is unknown if Santa found them there or not.

ReplyDeleteThey are from Darke County. One of them broke into someones house that I know a few years ago and got away on a bicyvle. He lived less than a block away. GPD wouldn't do anythng about it even though there were witnesses. He has been in and out of jail SEVERAL times since then.

that is why i think everyone should have a CCW so people like them two when they come in your house you can blow them away.if they are that bold try comming to my house.

ReplyDeleteThe ccw laws are very complex and you have to be "in fear of your life" before you can take another. If your not in your home when some one breaks into it, you can't just run in and shoot them. But I do agree, every one responsible should have one. Crime would be so much lower If all these thugs knew we had one.

ReplyDeleteHey 3:25, you don't need a CCW to "blow one away" if he illegally enters your home or vehicle that you occupy. You simply need something to "blow" with. Also remember that the dead do not testify.
ReplyDelete7:34 is correct. If anyone confronts you in your home or car you have the right to protect yourself with as much force as you deem necessary at the time. The days of hiding in the back corner of your home from an intruder are over. He steps in your home and you feel he is a threat let him have it.
ReplyDeleteThe law presumes you to have acted in self-defense or defense of another when using deadly force if the victim had unlawfully and without privilege entered or was in the process of entering the residence or vehicle you occupy.
ReplyDeleteNot compleatly correct: You are not aloud to carry a gun in your car unless you are a law man or have a ccw.
ReplyDeleteI think you can have one in the car if it is not concealed. Or at least you should be allowed to.
ReplyDeleteYou can have one in your car, but it must be unloaded, and the gun can not be located in the same area as the rounds. IE, the gun can be in the back seat, but the bullets must be in the trunk.
ReplyDeleteIf you have a CCW, it can be loaded, hidden and on you in your vehicle.
Unfortunately, the concealed weapon laws are unconstitutional. The last time I read the Constitution, the 2nd Amendment was not rebuked or changed.

Any grade-schooler should be able to interpret 'shall not be infringed' to be just that. There is no wording about required permits to carry a weapon. Nor there are no words regarding where one can carry or not carry a weapon.
