Greenville High School Key Club… Spaghetti fundraiser a success for student service group

Greenville High School Key Club members serve Mike Snyder
during their Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser Saturday evening. Snyder,
president of Greenville Kiwanis, was the first to sample the offerings at the successful KC event.

GHS Key Club held its first fundraising event of the year, and one of its most successful ever, courtesy of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville. It was a student-organized and prepared spaghetti dinner.

“The food was great,” said Kiwanis President Mike Snyder. “They really did a good job this evening.”

He was first in line, then supported by other Kiwanians throughout the evening. Greenville Kiwanis is the sponsoring organization for the Key Club. Also enjoying the student-prepared dinner were family, friends, community members and Darke County Commissioner Diane Delaplane and her family.

GHS Key Club is a student-run community service organization. While its purpose is to serve the community in a variety of ways, the club also raises funds to help support charities and local members attending District events. This year’s Key Club officers are: Claire Sherman, president, Scott Wirrig, vice president, Dan Cox, treasurer, Pankti Bhavsar and Cierra Whitesell, co-secretaries, and Jenilee Braun, newsletter editor.
