Screaming Kettle Books Now Located Within The Coffee Pot

Nothing goes together better than good books and good coffee. We at Screaming Kettle Books (click here for our Facebook page) are excited to announce we will be selling books inside The Coffee Pot in downtown Greenville starting February 1st. We love the atmosphere and community emphasis at The Coffee Pot, and we're excited about this opportunity to offer some great reading material in such a cool setting.

We plan to offer books in a variety of genres including classic and general fiction, history and biography, science fiction, religion and spirituality and general non-fiction. We will also offer children's books and a variety of interesting and unusual books that don't fit any easy category (Death of a Wombat, anyone?).

All of the books we'll be selling in The Coffee Pot will be reading copies, which means they'll all be reasonably priced and ready to be picked up and flipped through. We are currently planning to use the following price scale:

  • Mass market paperbacks - $3 or 4 for $10
  • Trade paperbacks and small hardcovers - $4 or 3 for $10
  • Large hardcovers - $5 or 5 for $20
  • Coffeetable books - $6 or 4 for $20

We are passionate about connecting readers with books, and we want you to enjoy our books even if you don't intend to buy them. If you find a book you like at The Coffee Pot but just don't feel like buying it, no problem. Spend all the time you want reading it at your table. Browse the books, read the books, touch the books, smell the books. If you do decide to buy one, well...we'd obviously love that too!

We are very excited about this opportunity, and we welcome your feedback about the kinds of books you're interested in seeing on our shelves. We look forward to hearing from you. See you at The Coffee Pot!

Also - The Coffee Pot will have live music on both Friday and Saturday this weekend:

  • Friday - The Dick Helman Trio 7-9 pm
  • Saturday - The Midwest Revival 7-9 pm
