The Greenville High School Vocal Music Boosters will present the Winter Concert on Monday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall.
The concert is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.
Featured on the program will be the Concert Choir, Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, Girls Glee, and Choraliers. The choirs will be presenting their OMEA District Choral Adjudicated Event program. Concert Choir will be performing in Class A with “Psalm 84: Cantique de Jean Racine” by Gabriel Faure and arranged by Hal Hopson; “Il est bel et bon” by Passereau and “Sicut Locutus Est” from Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Magnificat.” The Girls Glee in Class C will be singing “Get On Board” by Jay Althouse; “Poor Boy” arranged by Ruth Elaine Schram and “Ticket to the Kingdom” arranged by Donald Moore. The Men’s Choir will be performing in Class B with “Be Thou My Vision” arranged by Robert Hunter; “The Roast Beef of Old England” arranged by Carl Strommen and “”Arirang” arranged by Lon Beery. The Women’s Choir in Class A will be singing “The Seal Lullaby” by Eric Whitacre; “Go and Tell John” by Lloyd Pfautsch and “John Saw Duh Numbuh” by Andre J. Thomas.
The choirs are accompanied by Terri Fryman and directed by Michele Smith.
