State of the Heart Hospice Helps Local Non-Profit agency With Web Site

Pictured is Peggy Follrod showing an example of the new web site.
Grace Resurrection Community Center, 433 E. Water St. in Greenville now has a web site where those needing assistance and others wanting to contribute to the not for profit agency can go to learn more about GRCC. State of the Heart Hospice, which is also a nonprofit agency, provided funds to develop the site. In exchange State of the Heart is credited on the new site with funding development of the site. There is a logo with a link to the hospice web site.

“It is the first time we have had a web site” stated Peggy Follrod, executive director of GRCC. “This is a great benefit as it will enable us to reach more people who need our help, and will help educate others about how they can help us. It is a great way to tell our story.” The web site is at: www.grccenter.org

GRCC provides a soup kitchen, a food pantry, a clothing bank and a resource referral service.
Follrod said the agency serves 1,000 meals a month at the soup kitchen, and over 400 households use the food pantry.

Ted Bauer, executive director for State of the Heart, explained that “as a not-for-profit agency, part of what we do is give back to the community. By sponsoring the site for GRCC, we are helping them promote what they do which is beneficial to residents of our local community.”

Follrod added, “It is great to see how those in the community help each other out. We truly appreciate the help in developing the site.”

With offices in Greenville, Coldwater and Portland, State of the Heart cares for patients and families in eastern Indiana and western Ohio who are confronting a life-limiting illness. State of the Heart has provided hospice care to area communities for more than 30 years. To learn more about State of the Heart, visit the agency web site at www.stateoftheheartcare.org.
