As its Spring cleaning time, your Versailles Area Historical Society is looking for some special items and hope you can help!

We are looking for items that would have gone into a “hope chest” during the early to middle part of the twentieth century. Items from embroider to special items to set up housekeeping after marriage. If you have such items and can share a bit of the history, we want to hear from you!

We are also looking for a trunk from the nineteenth century and a steamer trunk both from the early twentieth century for a display on how we got here.

We are also looking for personal stories or special items about the Versailles Fire of 1901. We need these items immediately to complete our “Fire” Room at the museum before Poultry Days.

If you can help, please contact either our President, Deb Pohl at 937-526- 4108 or Jim Kelch, Trustee at 937-526-4271.

Please help us grow to be our best, we need YOU!
