Nature Day!




Let’s Celebrate Nature! Grab your boots and let’s get outside! Throughout this exciting day, Shawnee Prairie Preserve (4267 St. Rt. 502 West), will be aflutter of activity for all ages! Nature Day is a FREE event for the whole family that will be held from 10:00am-4:00pm on Saturday, May 26th. There will be scads of educational stations scattered throughout the park, from the wetlands to the woods, filled with information and activities for all to enjoy. Children will have the opportunity to have their “passport” stamped at each station.

There will also be scheduled, naturalist-led, hikes & programs throughout the day for nature-enthusiasts to enjoy. Spending the whole day at the Park? The Friends of the Darke County Park District will have Chicken Dinners available, PRE-SALE ONLY. The deadline to buy your ticket is this Monday, May 14th. Tickets may be purchased at the Nature Center.
