New Mulch Livens Up Greenville City’s Circle Area

On April 24th, Boy Scout Troop 373 set out to re-do the mulch around the city circle, the four islands, city building and police department building. Flory Landscaping and Little Time Handyman each donated half of the four truckloads of black mulch to spread.

The project was a good way for the scouts to earn community service hours and to improve the appearance of a citywide icon. Scoutmaster Ken Livingston supervised the project while parents Clarence Godwin, Rob Root and Chad Baughman along with many scouts helped spread mulch.

Near the end of May, the Lady Bug Garden Club will add to the new mulch by planting flowers and shrubbery on the circle, four islands and several other locations. The combined efforts will make the circle area beautiful for the upcoming summer season.
