“I have been aware of the hospice philosophy and mission for some time,” Rieman explained. “I know that State of the Heart Hospice is a valued resource in our community, and I want to help ensure its success and growth.” He also pointed out that the law firm has had a long-time connection with State of the Heart: John Marchal’s wife, Joy, was executive director of the agency for many years when it was called Hospice of Darke County.
“I want to continue the tradition of service to the community established by the Marchals and it is hard to find an organization that does more for the community than State of the Heart Hospice,” said Rieman who lives in Greenville.
A 2004 graduate of Greenville High School, Rieman is also on the board of the Greenville City Schools Foundation and helps coach the high school boys’ tennis team. “Having grown up in Greenville, I want to take what I learned when I was away at Ohio State and Notre Dame and use it locally so that the community can benefit from the opportunities that I have had,” he said.
State of the Heart Hospice, located at 1350 N. Broadway in Greenville, has provided hospice care to more than 12,000 patients and families during the agency’s 31 years of service to area communities. For more information about the agency, visit www.stateoftheheartcare.org.
