To kick off an early start to July’s National Parks and Recreation Month, the Darke County Park District is taking part in the NWF’s Great Backyard Campout on Saturday, June 23rd beginning at 6:00pm. We had a great time with this event last year, so dust off that old tent, grab the chairs and yard games and head out to Prairie Ridge to join us for a fun gathering of camping enthusiasts. New for this year, Stillwater Stargazers will join us for an evening stargaze! Even if you aren’t camping, you are welcome to join us for the stargaze at 9:00om. Trailers and pop-up campers are not permitted. Please pre-register for this FREE family event by calling the Nature Center at 937.548.0165. Campfire snacks will be provided for all who sign up. Small tents may be available for loan, for more info, give us a call.
