WHIOtv.com is reporting that the prosecutor's office in Mercer County has announced that there is "insufficient evidence" to charge Deputy Chad Fortkamp in the incident that left Zak, Mercer County's K9 unit, dead after being left in a hot car.
A review of the incident was completed by Law Director George E Moore.
Deputy Fortkamp was earlier placed on a 45 day unpaid suspension by Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey.
