WHIO's Steve Baker has the story of a Versailles military mom who surprised her daughters during a school assembly after being gone for over a year.
Staff Sgt. Amy Snodgrass has been a member of the Ohio National Guard for 18 years and spent the last year in Bahrain.
Versailles students and faculty attended an assembly that they thought would be about making friends, when Snodgrass appeared on stage, immediately embraced by her two oldest daughters, Alexandrea and Haylee, and received a standing ovation. She even stuck around and answered questions from the students.
