Edison will bring the summer blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises to the Robinson Theater on Friday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m., as part of college’s fall movie series.
Admission is $1, which includes free popcorn. Door prizes will also be given out throughout the evening.
“We’ve had a lot of requests to keep bringing these movies to campus and the one we’ve been asked about the most has been The Dark Knight Rises,” said Chip Hare, director of student life and athletics. “Bringing these movies to Edison is a great way for the college to show our appreciation toward our students and the community.”
Picking up eight years after the conclusion of The Dark Knight, Gotham is under siege from the ruthless terrorist Bane and Batman must return to save a city that has branded him a criminal. The final chapter in director Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises has brought in more than $450 million at the box office this year, making it one of the highest grossing movies of all time. This will be one of the last chances to see the movie on the big screen before it heads to DVD and Blu-Ray in December.
From concerts and movies to championship athletics and nationally recognized speakers, Edison works diligently to bring entertaining and enlightening events to the area. For more information on what’s coming to campus, visit www.edisonohio.edu.
